FAQ'S
-
Does my dog or cat have to be up to date on his vaccinations?Yes, you will need to provide a copy of your pet's rabies and distemper vaccinations, along with your veterinarian's name and phone number. This is protection for your pet.
-
What if I need to cancel or am not home for my pets appointment? If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so minimum 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. If you cancel your appointment the day of, or if you are “not home” at the time of your appointment , the total amount due for the appointment will be collected. This is why we have most clients pre pay prior to their appointment. The groomer will wait for 15 min and attempt to call/text prior to leaving. Please remember this creates a time issue as our vehicles run on a tight schedule and only do a small number of pets a day.
-
How often should I get my pet groomed? On the average, dogs should be groomed every 4 to 6 weeks, cats every 6 to 8 weeks. Of course, this deplends on the owner's ability to do daily brush outs. It also deplends on your pet's breed, coat and how often your dog/cat is outside. You may want your dog to be groomed on a tighter schedule to keelp up with their Cut & Coat. Scheduling recurring appointments as to not lose your place as we fill is suggested.
-
Does frequent bathing harm my pet's coat? No, veterinarians will encourage you to have your pet groomed on a regular basis. We use high quality shampoos and conditioners to help relieve dry, itchy skin. We use a variety of shampoos such as medicated, tearless, soothing oatmeal & Hypo allergenic.
-
My dog/cat is really matted, what can be done?"We would suggest to shave down the coat using the longest blade available that will penetrate and cut the mats. If this is not acceptable to you, you might want to comb out the mats with particular attention to the stomach, underarms, and behind the ears before we arrive. Mats can be VERY painful and It is more humane to shave down the coat and start all over again than to de-mat a heavily matted coat. Also, decreasing the time between appointments should be discussed after the shave down. Following the shave down your pet may experience red skin and irritation from the blades and should avaoid prolonged summer sun exposure. Regularly scheduled appointments will generally eliminate these issues entirely.
-
Do I have to be home for you to groom my pet?NO, After signing the consent form Wicked Clean Dog Mobile will be able to groom your pet without you home providing we have a key or code to get into the home. Can you provide an exact time that you will arrive to groom my dog? While Wicked Clean Dog Mobile strives to arrive at your confirmed appointment time, there are many unforeseeable scenarios that can occur in grooming (especially mobile grooming) such as pet behavior, condition of pet’s fur, injured or aged pet that require unexpected additional time, inclement weather, and road construction/traffic, mechanical issues, for example, that are not within our control. Because of this, please expect an arrival within a 1-hour window of your scheduled time to account for unexpected delays. For example, if your confirmed appointment time is for 1pm, your appointment window is for 12:30-1:30pm. During the winter months, the appointment window may be expanded due to weather conditions and local school delays and closings. The groomer will call or text to communicate any delay outside of that window. If you are finding that you unexpectedly cannot be available for the entirety of the appointment window, please reach out to us to set up a Plan B latch-key option. If the groomer arrives and no one is present for the groom appointment (and Plan B has not been arranged) additional fees will apply for the additional time.
-
How Much will it cost?If we know your dog already from our shop location and we see them on a regular basis the pricing estimate will be easier . If we have never met your pet before and we are going by your description we will provide you with a 'rough' estimate and this may increase or decrease once your pet is in the vehicle salon and groomed.
-
Is Your mobile grooming more expensive than your shop grooming?Yes, usually around $20-$50.00 more per pet. For that extra money, you get the convenience of not making 2 trips to our local grooming shop and having to wait longer between drop-off and pick-up time. WE COME TO YOU! Your pet will also benefit from a less stressful environment with no barking dogs, no cages and no wait time, with only us grooming your pet each and every time. How nice is that?
-
Do you need to plug into my electric outlet or use my water?NO. Our vehicles are self contained. We have both Fresh & Grey(waste) tanks on board. We will never empty grey water on your property. We have a generator that provides for all of our electrical needs. The unit is also climate controlled. In the unlikely event we have an equipment failure of our generator we may ask to plug into an outside recepticle if you have one to finish the groom. We carry a typical 110v style outlet extension chord on board for this. We do have a large(65 Gallon) fresh water tank onboard if we did run out of water due to larger dogs etc. we would ask to put some water in our tank to finish the groom. We do carry hoses onboard for this unlikely event.
-
Do you have evening or weekend appointments? What about an emergency appointment? We can schedule off-hour appointments if there is an available groomer/Vehicle & situation requires it. There is an extra charge for this accommodation and will be discussed prior to the appointment.

Can I be in the Vehicle while my pet is being groomed?NO, owners are not allowed in the grooming van during your pets appointment due to insurance coverage and also it is important that we have your dog's full attention on us. Also Please do not knock on the Vehicles door or windows as this can startle you rpet and be very dangerous with our sharp tools.
-
Why should I commit to a grooming schedule instead of just calling when I want Mobile Grooming?Wicked Clean Dog Mobile is a premium mobile service which works on a route system. In order to accommodate all of our wonderful clients in a timely manner, we must be very efficient in our routing and scheduling. We will at some point be UNABLE to accept dogs groomed on an "as needed" basis due to the additional time required, and sporadic scheduling this causes. We suggest you get on a scheduled routine to avoid disappointment. When our vehicles fill will routine clients we will be unable to book new appointments and would have to place you on a waiting list if you choose.
-
What if my Pet has fleas? We will not accept dogs or cats with a flea or tick infestation that is known before hand. Should we discover fleas during the grooming process, your pet will immediately receive a flea bath and you will be charged a flea bath/cleaning fee of $25. This fee is to cover the additional product, as well as a full cleaning/sanitization of the salon. Our flea shampoo will kill all fleas on your pet; however, this is not a preventative and you will need to treat your house and your dog to eliminate the problem.
-
How Long will it take to groom my Pet(s)?This all depends on several factors. How many pets are we grooming at your home? In what condition are their coats? Are they getting a cleanup or a full groom? In general most appointments last from 1 to 3 hours.
-
What if my dog becomes too difficult to groom? At the groomers discretion if your pet becomes aggressive and the groomer feels it is unsafe they will stop the groom and you will be charged for time spent. It is important if you know your pet has been problematic for groomers before to let us know ahead of time. Please remember our groomers are the ONLY ones in the vehicle and are instructed to STOP if they feel it is unsafe for them and or your Pet to continue.
-
Will my Pet be washed in cold water?NO, our vehicles are equipped with on board water heaters that will provide comfortable water temps thru-out the bathing process.
-
Why are you asking for Pre-Payment prior to the grooming session? We do this for a couple reasons. Wicked Clean Dog Mobile groomers are on a very tight schedule and because of this we prefer the groomers NOT to have to check customers out delaying their next appointment. The other reason is because we are a premium service, if an appoitnment is cancelled at or within the 24hr window the full groom estimate/cost will be collected. If the cancellation is done prior to the 24hrs Wicked Clean Dog Mobile will refund the deposited amount.
-
Will you groom my sedated dog?No. Sedated animals can experience adverse reactions to the sedation, exhibit unpredictable behavior while sedated, and ultimately pose a risk to their own safety as well as that of the groomer. In our experience, a veterinarian supervised sedated groom is the safest option for a pet that requires sedation for grooming because they are best equipped to handle any sedation complications.
